In Japan, most anime is viewed as teenage content stuff. Poke'mon is like a PG-13 show. It's dumbed down like crazy for the US.

That's why a lot of people watch stuff dubbed or with subtitles; it's better in Japan.

This is why the original season kicked so much BUM-BUM. Like 5 episodes of it were completely banned in the US.

I saw that one on Kid's WB like 4 years ago. The episode was only about 7 minutes of actual cartoon because they edited so much crap out of it.
