Just throw up anything you think of. Even if it seems stupid, post it. We can build off of stuff.

Right now, this is the basic outline of the game

-Over the shoulder camera
-RPG style character improvements
-In early stages of the game, it'll just be us, but hopefully we can turn into leaders of armies and others can be like infantry
-Combat system consists of the num pad, and it'll be pretty difficult to use. As in, it is a simple system, but it is build so the faster your right hand can hit numbers, the better you will be
-Various weapons
-Cool skills
-3d models made with Blender3d, compiled with the Ogre game engine

I'm forgetting a lot. I'll make a good one later, this is just a freeflow thread. Please contribute.

Could we have unique special moves, somehow? Like, I throw chaos at people, Freech does some sort of immense fire thing (think Mario's final smash), etc.

Yeah, everyone is gonna have skills specific to their tastes/personality.

You have Rocket Boots and extremely extravagant firearms. ASIAN can use unnecessarily large swords and turn parts of his body into an animalistic trait, like a giant gorilla arm for added strength. Also he can be invisible.

If we're using interchangeable armor, how about dyes for the armor. That way everyone can be a bit more unique. (Base color, then back color; up to two colors per piece of armor). I just really like added customization.

Yeah, that's a good idea. I'm pretty sure texture hue alteration is within my grasp, and I could probably figure a way to do base/secondary coloring with vertex groups.

Yeah, there will definitely be guns.

I'm hoping that we can have a gun-modding system, in which you can throw scopes/silencers/bayonets on guns. That would own, and I'm sure Blaze would be up to it. He does love his customization.

Also, if you guys see me make any out-there comment like this one, trust me, I know how far away that stage is. This thread is for ideas that are definite 'in the future' things as well as basic design. Cheesy

There's a story line like Flyff has a story line.

It's there, but the main point of the game is to have fun killing/ doing what you want.

No.

For one, scripters don't need concept art. For two, me and Blaze have been working together and thinking up ideas for six years. For three, I don't trust or acknowledge you to be reliable.

Blaze might say different, but I say definitely no.

No to Ark.

Here's an idea I came up with regarding a class system:

Of course, there are different levels of jobs and classes, and of course the basic starting classes. But what about if you wanted to be more than one thing?
I know this class was used in another game (Most things I come up with get used), but I was thinking of a Blade Mage. No, it isn't JUST a Mage that uses swords, but a class of mage that not only uses swords instead of wands, staffs, and clubs, but actually use Blade Magic. Some spells might include raising a Giant Sword out of the ground, being able to wield multiple swords, not just dual, but actually have a few float at your side (one skill I'll walk you through Sol: Blade Phoenix)

That's the kind of class I want my character centered around.
Other classes I can up with were:
Pyromancer
Hydromancer
Aeromancer
Electromancer
Gaiamancer
Tundramancer
(all above are specialized mages of the respective elements)

Ranger
Sniper
Gunner
Infiltrator
Assassin
Grenadier
(More of the ranging classes. Of course, they can still be archers, but you said you were adding guns)

Berserker
Fury
Drifter
<pole-arm user, name is still pending>
Brigand
<another form of assassin, also the name is still pending>
(The melee classes of course)

The ones with <> around them still need names, but those are just some ideas I have so far.
