I've just started taking a Java class in school, so I'll be able to start coding soon. Just making sure, but it IS Java and not Python, correct?
Anyway, any ideas of what kinds of programing will be required before I have to research? I already know that I'll have a compiler and such from my classes, as well as a site where I can use separate components and such.

Oh aye, we're gonna go Java.
Here's how it'll work:
Code (Made in a Java Compiler) ------- ------------ Blender Models | | | | | | V V
JOgre
JOgre is a Graphical Engine that takes Java instead of C++, which is what OGRE takes.
You'll mainly be responsible for the code, and I'll mainly be responsible for the modeling, but obviously we can help each other out on the way. While you're going through the class, just be on the lookout for anything that might be able to help. Also, researching how to do new things isn't always that hard.
S'yeah. Just get the basics down. Me and Zro have been in it this semester, so we know our way around a bit, but I think your class is a bit more advanced, so...
Yeah. You can Wikipedia OGRE and JOgre if you want more infoz.
