Hey to all Guildies who actually read this stuff!
The week of the 9th, I'll be gone at a Computer Camp for a week. There I will be learning how to make games and such. I'll be trying to get Flyff there so that I can help out as best I can. Who knows, I might even be able to recruit more members there ^_^ ...but most likely not.

I'll be keeping updates here, so if I can't Fly for Fun I'll let you all know. Also, I'd like to hear what's going on in this thread. If anything new is going on I'd like to hear it.

Also, if you're interested in what I'll be learning at this camp, I'll be up to answering questions.

I'm sure that I'll be able to post in the forums because... well... they have computers, and we won't be learning stuff ALL day, just half of the day. This being said, I might not be able to get Flyff or post here everyday. I will do my best to keep up with the forums.

But until then, you'll have to put up with me ^_^;;

Nope.
it starts Sunday for me. My internet just broke for awhile today...

UPDATE: I'll be there starting Monday. I leave Sunday night.

EDIT: Alright, I'm here! So far we've actually done a lot of outdoors stuff. It's all been fun.

It turns out we're using a program called "Multimedia Fusion Developer 2". It doesn't use a lot of scripting and somewhat reminds of of GameMaker. I haven't finished anything yet and I'm working on something called "Collapse".

I'm on break writing this lol, so I need to get back to work soon. Later all!

Ask about Blender3d.

If they make any reference to Blender being a lower-class graphics program for under-professional developers, tell them I want a word. >.>

Honestly.

I asked, and they've heard about it. Or at least one of them did. They didn't say it was a low-class program just to let you know.

Well alright. I've finished a game called Collapse, and it's pretty much just a game with the blocks that drop down, and if you click on a group of the same color you get more points. Something I did differently was make the bricks 3-D...ish.

Anyway, it turns out the class I'm taking doesn't do very much scripting, instead we use very little scripting, although it all basically amounts to code, just simplified.

The game I'm going to focus on is a side-scroller. There just isn't enough space, time, or concentration to make an RPG T_T.

So how's everyone else?

I know. And there isn't enough space, time, or concentration to make an RPG. At least not the kind I'd like.

Oh yeah, I just found out I suck at Battlefield 2142 in terms of the fact that people snipe me and spawn camp. Besides taht my team was horrible.

YOU'RE KIDDING ME.

I just got that game. I wanna play with you and your camp mates. Cheesy

EDIT: I looked into Multimedia Fusion 2, and it looks like it's a 2d creation program. Is this true?

Basically I had to join mid-way through a game without knowing most of the controls, my team was horrible and didn't work together, EVERYTHING WAS EXPLODING (I think it was the EMP thing), Mechs were in our base, a noob was spawn-killing, and I kept forgetting to drop into prone position.
That's why I say I suck, plus I'm comparing myself to others who placed 2nd in a tournament of 60 held at the camp.

And yes, fusion is a 2-D Game Maker. This morning before we left, however, I worked on a bit of Java programming for a Hangman program.
You need to join next year. I was offered for another chance next week but I've been away from home a bit too long and band camp is coming up T_T
